The lowdown on Medjool dates
Medjool dates are a luxury. If you want the sugar hit, along with the benefits of fibre, vitamins and minerals and without all the refined sugar, saturated fats and additives, this is your man!
100g of Medjool dates is about 4 dates. They are a great source of vitamin B6, potassium and magnesium. Magnesium is known as the anti-stress mineral, important for relaxing the muscles, a key mineral in energy production and our body needs it for just about every metabolic reaction in the body to work. So coupled with vitamin B6 important for the correct working of our nervous system and potassium for maintaining correct fluid levels in the body, these are a a great replacement to chocolate for all women stressed, lacking energy and looking for a quick fix. In moderation of course – each one is approx 70 calories each.
I will price them in Waterford today and report back!!
